“When I first met Tim, I was a practicing physical therapist in the Bay Area, working at Stanford University Hospital. As a physical therapist who was dissatisfied with the textbook approaches of the profession, I was constantly seeking more information in the form of courses and certifications. It was at a local Postural Restoration Institute course that I met Tim. I was immediately impressed by his knowledge and his willingness to further educate himself beyond the typical requirements of his profession. Not only was he clearly knowledgeable in the art and science of sports performance training, but also sought certifications in MoveNat, PRI, the Prague School, and others. The breadth of his knowledge combined with his experience as a strength and track coach led me to immediately start sending my patients to him after and sometimes even before they would graduate from my rehab care. Every single person I would send to him would come back to me with glowing reviews!

Not only is Tim able to expertly work around and take into account the precautions and limitations of a medically limited client, but he is also able to connect with his clients to extract exactly how to best motivate and challenge them while gaining their trust and respect. The ability to balance being a non-threatening, kind, and caring person while still challenging a client to push themselves is a hard thing to do, but Tim does it with ease.

Not only do I know this from my experience of sending clients to him, but I also know this from personal experience. When I started to compete at a higher level of triathlon, I started working with Tim as my running trainer and coach. I immediately noticed improvements in my speed, clocking my best run time splits in my triathlon career. Getting to experience his coaching style firsthand solidified my belief in him as a world-class coach.”

“I have personally worked with Tim Dempsey and can attest to his skills and knowledge in PRI, speed and strength training. Tim’s expertise in PRI allowed me to realign my structural composition, reverse my injuries, and improve my overall physical performance. He also provided me with invaluable guidance in speed training on the track to improve my efficiency in the speed related sports of Bobsledding while I was a member of the U.S. Bobsled National Team. Tim’s attention to detail and personalized workout plans specifically targeted my sport-specific muscle groups and were instrumental in my given sport. I highly recommend Tim Dempsey for his specialization in maximizing performance in speed, power, and strength-related sports.”

Andreas Drbal

“Working with Tim has saved, extended, and enhanced my volleyball career. As an amputee having competed at the Division I level and 16 years of Paralympic volleyball, I have many repetitive injuries. Tim has helped me maintain a healthy body while also allowing me to compete at the top of my game- helping me to win tournament MVP in Tokyo at the age of 35. The PRI work with Tim is necessary for me to continue to excel at such a high level at my age. I am truly grateful to work with him as he is a diligent listener, and cares about my success on and off the court.”
